I'm using Lubuntu 11.10, I installed live-usb-install 2.3.2 from a .deb file, and I resolved all its dependencies.

When using live-usb-install to format a USB stick, I have the option to format it as ext4 or ext2. Doing so gives me no problems. After clicking on 'OK' for writing an ISO to the USB stick, everything goes well: "Extracting files from ISO image...", and it looks like the USB stick is receiving data.

After a while though, the following message pops up:

"Error while installing syslinux bootloader! Installation aborted."

This doesn't happen when formatting the USB stick as FAT, so I guess that it has something to do with the partitioning. I don't want to use FAT however, because my BIOS won't pick up FAT formatted USB sticks.
