when I try start live cd Linux LXDE my HP nc8000 laptop, then cd not start gui (starx). Only terminal mode work. And I can't fix it on by my self.
This happens if the X desktop process (lxdm) has stopped/crashed. By now, the developers should know why this happens.
But you still have the terminal, and you can use it to to try to re-start the desktop, by running:
sudo lxdm
That will probably start the entire desktop process - if it does, then you should be able to try to start your network and from there install Linux Mint LXDE 12. You will then need to run software updates if you are using the Release Candidate (RC) ISO disk. Then you should be able to use it ! |
