Hi,

thanks for the tip, the minimizetotray add-on seems to work perfectly.

I also tried running AllTray from terminal - running it, I receive the
following line:

Gdk-WARNING **: Can't confine to grabbed window, not native

I tried minimizing the Terminal window to tray, which actually worked,
but I could only call it back by right clicking the icon in the tray and
chosing "Undock" from the drop down menu. Double clicking the icon
didn't work, as I believe it was supposed to.

Oh well, at least the system didn't lock up this time. On one of the
previous attempts, I both the upper and the lower tray disappeard and
could not call up anything with keyboard shortcuts, so I had to restart
the computer manually.
