I'm dual-booting on my DV6-2100 CTO, Mint hasn't stopped on me yet. When you say that it doesn't boot, can you expand on where it stops?

I know that certain USB devices (in particular, my cell phone) causes my laptop to halt on the BIOS screen, and the only other issue I had was during an NVidia driver installation. Does debug mode work for you?
