I do not know how to accomplish that, I am looking at it on the netbook
and only grub is running at the time. I assume that the image is at
some offset from the mbr. Is it possible to grab the image with 'dd'?
If so, what are the appropriate offsets, counts, etc. Alternatively,
since the image background appears to be /boot/boot/grub/linuxmint.png,
perhaps I could use gimp to combine the .png with white text matching
the menu items. I will attempt that later today and see how closely it
matches what I see at boot - if a match I will grab a screenshot and
send it.
