Comment 3 for bug 307645

I can confirm this bug for my desktop (P4 2.66, 1GB RAM, Geforce 6600) as well as for my gf's Inspiron 1525.

Only thing working when this happens is pressing the power button and using the keyboard to shut the computer down (mouse not working at all).

It seems as though there's a lot of people getting this in Ubuntu 9.04 - let's hope they sort it out for 9.10
