The ttf-liberation package in Linux Mint doesn't provide a fontconfig replacement for Times New Roman, Arial, and Courier New. These fonts should automatically be replaced with the Liberation fonts; for all applications except OpenOffice.org this can be done with a simple file in /etc/fonts/conf.avail. Once this is done, the package should also provide fake-msttcorefonts so MythTV can use them.
