Actually this happens the other way around.
The password is asked before asking for a keyboard layout, as the steps are Language -> Partitioning -> Time zone -> Keyboard layout -> User details. Thus, the password is configured with the English keyboard layout.
When you boot, the initramfs has already set up the correct keyboard layout before it prompts you for the password.
