I am using Linux Mint 17 RC Cinnamon, but this bug also affected Linux Mint 16 Cinnamon.
When I add a printer I open the "Printers" application. I then select "Add" printer, then "Network Printer", it then finds my Epson WF-3540. I then choose the IPP network printer via DNS-SD. It searches for drivers, and finds "epson-inkjet-printer-201212w" driver, and attempts to install it. I have attempted this multiple times and it freezes at around the middle of the progress bar. If I manually download the .deb files from epson's website and install them with gdebi it works. |
