Bug Description

Reproducible : Yes
Frequency : Always
Severity : Unable to install OS is a bit of a show stopper

When I try to install Linux Mint KDE 14 RC from the live CD using ubiquity, ubiquity ALWAYS crashes without any error messages during manual partition setup. After a little bit of digging, this may be due to a problem in partman, but I'm no expert on the ubiquity system.

My hard drive has a combination of primary and logical partitions. Under Mint 13 I created:

/dev/sda1 -- FAT32, primary, pre-installed Dell utility 100MB
/dev/sda2 -- EXT2, primary, mounted on /boot 512MB
free space
/dev/sda5 -- swap, logical 10GB
/dev/sda6 -- EXT4, logical, mounted on /home 300GB
/dev/sda7 -- EXT4, logical, mounted on / 80GB
free space

Ubiquity will ALWAYS crash during DISK SETUP under MANUAL mode when I try to select more than two partitions. I can't tell if it has a problem mixing logical with primary partitions or what.

Got exactly the same issue as reporter. Always crash after configuring the second partition.

Still happens on linuxmint KDE 14 Final.

My system:

Linux mint 3.5.0-17-generic #28-Ubuntu SMP Tue Oct 9 19:31:23 UTC 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Unfortunately, I am already installing it (with just one partition, will set up the rest later via /etc/fstab manually) so I can't test if the workaround actually works...
