Hello James.
I never got a chance to fix it.
I was trying out ubuntu 12.10 live usb flash drive and then my system crashed.
After getting a new mother board put into the laptop I installed Mint 13 maya 64 bit
to my hard drive. Mint 13 was installed on my mother board's built in 8
gig SSD. The one that crashed.
The problem did not show up in the new install.
I have installed Mint 14 mate on my system and it run
perfectly.
I am using Mint 14.1 64bit mate.
Window 7, Ubuntu 12.04, and Mint 13 mate are on
there own partitions . Notheing is installed on the SSD
at this time.
My system is A Samsung series 7 chronos np700z5c optimus laptop using Intel
ivy bridge hd4000 Intel gpu, and geforce gt 630m gpu. Using i7-3615QM
cpu. 8 gig SSD, and 8 gig of ram.
