I have tried looking for reports like this, in the BTS's of other major distros. I don't see any -- it may be too early, as not many have shipped a release with 2.6.39+, yet.
I have seen one user mention this problem, outside a BTS. Interestingly, their machine needs "irqpoll" for a quite different piece of hardware, a RAID card. A possible indication this regression may be more general than just the particular IRQ problem my boxes have.
