[Lucid]Sudden drop of connecton speed with Broadcom card

Bug Description
After some time (within minutes) the internet connection drops considerably. Manually disabling and enabling WiFi always helps.
While I have this particular broadcom driver in use it might not be related to this driver at all as so many people face WiFi network connection speed.

should have been "network connection speed" instead of "Internet connection" ... the connection remains active!
