Daniel--THANK YOU and thank your brother-in-law as well worked great I am using a PNY Optima sdhc 8gb card and works great to read and write only one item (which is not a problem for me) after inserting the card everything works correctly if I eject the card and then reinsert it all files on the card are gone without me deleting them. This is not a problem as I normally delete all files off my sd cards before I return them to my camera.
Again a huge thanks to Konstatin for all the work and thanks to Daniel's brother-in-law for the step-by step info.
