Comment 190 for bug 422536

I have a AsRock K10N78 motherboard. Everything worked fine until I installed the qemu-kvm package then I started getting this error. To troubleshoot, I loaded the Failsafe Defaults in by BIOS and this error was gone. I went back into BIOS and re-enabled everything that I had changed previously and it turned out to be a feature called "CPU Quiet Fan" that caused the trouble. I can reproduce the error be toggling this feature on.

I don't know if this will help in diagnosing this bug, but I suggest resetting your BIOS to defaults to see if it works for you too.
