After troubleshooting I found out my issue was related to there being old fakeraid metadata for an nvidia chipset being picked up by dmraid even after I had created an array on the M4A79XTD EVO. Running "dmraid -rE" removed the metadata but I had to copy the data back on from my backups. This seemed to resolve the startup delay on my configuration.
