Similar problem on a Lenovo SL510 thinkpad. After a while udevd goes to 25% CPU.
"sudo restart udev" does not help, I've got to "sudo killall udevd" a couple of times to kill off all udevd instances. Then the CPU goes quiet. Followed by a "sudo start udev" of course.
Problem: after doing that, my usb keyboard/mouse isn't detected anymore when I plug it in. I could not find a way to get that working again, so I've been restarting a few times in the last days. Any quick way to get around that?
