on my Intel Core2 Duo laptop I very seldom reckon psmouse driver resync in syslog,
however today that driver kept losing sync for almost half an hour.
At first the problem was shown as vertical scroll not working any more (this happens fairly often after I keep my pc a few hours (10+) without rebooting).
Then the mouse problem increased in frequency.
At last the keyboard stopped responding too (thus I support the link with bug #194214 )
I could not use Sysrq. This suggests me that it isn't just an X bug, but instead a kernel bug.
