I've tried The Mike's suggestion. Should step 2 be

tar -vxf alsa-driver-1.0.20.tar.bz2
</b>
insteald of ". . . .gz"?

If so, I'm having trouble "making" this file. Can anybody help me? I'm a Linux noob.
