I have the same flickering problem, but I don't have it with PCLinuxOS running kernel 5.0.2:

Linux localhost.localdomain 5.0.2-pclos1 #1 SMP Wed Mar 13 20:05:56 CDT 2019 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
