I was following Rafael Wysocki's suggestions on debugging suspend to RAM in http://lkml.org/lkml/2008/1/27/292 - using the patches mentionned at the end (should be in 2.6.25 as well) and enabling CONFIG_PM_DEBUG and CONFIG_PM_VERBOSE.
