Lucas, it is my understanding that the above mentioned fixes are in 2.6.27-git2, see http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v2.6/snapshots/patch-2.6.27-git2.log and search for "r8169: WoL fixes".

Second, reading that some people have it working with some manual changes I did try to follow those to make it work but did not manage. Is there a how-to for the manual changes somewhere else while this is being resolved? I tried to follow this thread but still can't get it to work in Kubuntu 8.04 amd64. If some clear steps where around it would be easier to say wheter I screwed up or my machine needs some additional steps.

I'm on an Abit AB9 Pro for which WOL works from Windows (S3) but not after power-down (from S5). Is this a problem from the Linux perspective?
