Can you explain what this means? Are you saying that the patches do
apply cleanly to 3.9.5, but don't work?
Does your machine have discrete graphics or the integrated Intel
graphics? These change are only going to work with Intel graphics, and
additional patches will be required for radeon/nouveau. This fix is also
probably never going to work with binary blob drivers.
