After removed and inserted back modules ath, ath9k, ath9k_hw, ath9_common, mac80211 my wireless adapter is no longer recognized. dmesg tells something like

ath: phy0: Couldn't reset chip
ath: phy0: Unable to initialize hardware; initialization status -5
