I've succesfully installed the following debs

linux-image-3.5.0-030500rc3-generic_3.5.0-030500rc3.201206162135_i386.deb
linux-image-extra-3.5.0-030500rc3-generic_3.5.0-030500rc3.201206162135_i386.deb

System starts up normally. :-)

Today i did not experience the problem with the older kernel, so te
problem seems to have an unsteady interval (sometimes several times 5+
times a day, sometimes not at all). I will try for a few days and see if
the problem occurs again and do as you mentioned according to the test
results.
