Add progress information when there is long wait time

Bug Description

There is an long wait after "Unpacking hardware pack", it's better to add some progress information to make users patient.

I think it's running apt-get $options update -qq here. Maybe we should make it less quiet?

I think running apt-get update without -qq would be a bit too verbose, but since the usual list of sources is short it may not be too bad. I'll sneak a fix for this into another branch of mine.
