Comment 3 for bug 627607

I think the combination of this bug and https://bugs.launchpad.net/linaro-image-tools/+bug/638966 are a bit awkward because it means that if your machine runs karmic you can't run the script directly, and you can't write the image to a file under a maverick chroot and then dd to sdcard in karmic either (without editing linaro-media-create, which is what I do in practice). So I think if we decide we don't care about this bug it would be good to fix 638966.

Also if we do decide not to support karmic we should at least make the script bomb out with a "run under lucid or better" message rather than silently writing a duff image...
