I also see this. Mac OSX 10.6.8 Thunderbird 7.0.1 latest versions of lightning and Exchange data provider.
The following is a couple of observations, which I have made over the last month or so and relates to v 0.16 and 0.17.
Dismiss button closes the window but does not delete reminders (both invited or set manually).
Another problem is that if the event runs for multiple days eg 7, then selecting dismiss all, closes the dialog, but it reopens.
Killing thunderbird (force quit) is the only way to get back to thunderbird. When you start it again, dismiss all closes the dialog,
but the events are still present.
Logging onto the exchange server via webmail, clears the events. But of course you build up a history of events pretty quickly.
Would be nice to have a fix for this.
