Even after installing Nightly Tester Tools (which didn't work, BTW), setting in the config editor extensions.checkCompatibility.6.0 to false, and reinstalling the package altogether, the extension fails to function, I fail to get notifications for Ubuntu 11.04 on Thunderbird 6 and not too many people who upgraded Thunderbird for consistency with Firefox 6 are too happy about this recent development, or lack thereof.

While not terribly important, as a modified version of this code will be in 11.10 and functioning with Tb 6, there are many people who don't want to go over to Gnome 3 quite yet, and would rather just have the notifications in their version of Ubuntu, relying on you to modify the code and get it functioning for those who upgraded using non-standard update channels. (And it's quite appalling that Thunderbird is only at 3.1 in the standard Ubuntu Natty repos!)
