We pushed a commit to the utouch-grail development branch that fixes a memory corruption bug. Can you do the following to test:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:utouch-team/daily
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install libutouch-geis1

Test for crashing and post results here.

$ sudo ppa-purge ppa:utouch-team/daily
