me-too: I do not see why the status of this bug is "Fix Released", at least in the version of AppIndicator shipped with Oneiric there is still no mechanism in place to get a signal whenb a menu is shown/hidden.

If this has been implemented, please point me to the API documentation for it, so I can start using it.
