Cannot register new series (timeout error)

Bug Description

I have tried a dozen times to create a new series for the Zorba project, using the form at . Each time I have just received a timeout error after 10 seconds or so.

I've gotten a number of these errors over the past few days, and it's mighty annoying. If your databases aren't up to the challenge, you could at least increase the timeout to give pages a better shot at completing...

FYI: the timeout seems to be occurring when I specify a Branch on the +addseries page that did not yet exist. (I presumed that doing this would register the branch.)

I was able to successfully create two series by (a) not specifying a branch at all, and then (b) specifying a branch that did exist.

Perhaps specifying a non-existent branch is a user error, but clearly a generic timeout message won't help said user diagnose the problem...

I have the same problem.
It would be a good thing to explain with more details the procedure for creating a new serie in the FAQ or documentation.
I tougth that creating a new serie would create a branch too.
