Matthew you suggest changing the wording to

"unmute this bug and subscribe directly"

I think it would be better as:

"unmute this bug and re-subscribe" because that's really what is happening.

As you know, the act of muting loses all of the previous direct subscription options. So at this point the user really does have to resubscribe. It is unfortunate but is the way this feature will be delivered.
