Yes, absolutely. Scots is a Germanic language, as is English. "Scots
Gaelic" or, as I would prefer it to be named "Scottish Gaelic" is a Celtic
language, related to Irish. The Scottish Gaelic files, as far as I am
aware, are complete. It is a common mistake to think that Scots and
Scottish Gaelic are the same language, and this is the reason behind the
misnomer "Scots Gaelic", but they are not the same.

Useful packages would be the OOo ones and any obviously useful software for
which translations exist.

To summarise, they are different, so please create separate (completely
separate) files using the codes "gd" for "Scottish Gaelic" and "sco" for
"Scots".
