As the bug description states that Launchpad is a registered trademark of Canonical, Canonical has the right to sue Apple for this. However, the Dock and Left-side window buttons are not trademarks of Apple, so IMHO Canonical is on the safer side.

Its up to Canonical if they want to sue Apple or not, so it would be better if we stop commenting on this bug report and move this discussion to ubuntuforums.org .
