Bug Description
It looks like you cannot subscribe to merge proposals (e.g. [1]), but are only subscribed implicitly via source branches (e.g. [2]).
I would like to subscribe to just the merge proposal to get notified of any changes to the proposal (e.g. when it gets merged or a new comment gets added).
USE CASE: having left a comment/question on the proposal and wanting to get notified about answers/status.

You also get notified if you are subscribed to the target branch.
Subscriptions to merge proposals were vetoed initially due to the short
lifecycle of a proposal. At least that was the argument at the time.
