Diff fails to color removed lines consisting of dashes

Bug Description

Merge previews like the one in https://code.launchpad.net/~gagern/bzr/bash_completion-README/+merge/25816 incorrectly assume that any line starting with --- contains a diff file name. This causes removed lines starting in -- to be formatted incorrectly, i.e. in bold font on white background, instead of normal weight on red background.
