Bug Description

Teams can't subscribe to a branch even though there is an option to view subscribed branches.
See: https://launchpad.net/people/harmony-dev/+subscribedbranches

Users should be able to subscribe a team they are a member of to a branch.

NOTE: Does not really matter as long as bug 73975 is not fixed.

<kiko> it's basically doing the same as we do for bugs -- subscribe someone else. alternatively, the UI could look like the UI we have for package subscriptions -- subscribe a team you are a member of.

It'd be very nice to have for teams which route their mail to a mailing list, that way we could have a commit list easily. (I plan this for telepathy, galago, bluetooth).

Wow! Sucky bug triaging, I was not aware this bug was reported.

I favor the UI of package subscriptions: "Subscribe a team you a member of".

Note that this bug does not really matter as long as bug 73975 is not fixed.

I agree with David on the UI.

Hold that thought about the mailing list.

Only administrators of teams should be able to subscribe the teams.

Bumping priority to high as now this blocks MOTU reviews and some others.

I need something like this in order to move Mailman to lp+bzr. We already have a mailman-checkins at python dot org mailing list and i would like for it to get bzr notifications. As I understand it, if I create a team and set the team's contact address to mailman-checkins, the external mailing list will get the branch notifications.

The implementation of this is going to follow the way that bugs have "Subscribe someone else".

Anyone (logged in user) can subscribe anyone.
