2006-06-22 09:57:09 | Mark Shuttleworth | description | I subscribed to a few uds-paris sprint specs but didn't get scheduled for them. http://people.ubuntu.com/~mdz/schedule/2006-06-20/ In that list, I'm subscribed to at least bug-forwarding-workflow and bug-reporting-tool, but couldn't figure out why I, a spec subscriber wasn't scheduled to attend the specs I was interested in. It would have helped me if, when I subscribed to the spec in the LP UI, I got a hint like: This specification will be discussed at the _Ubuntu Paris Developer Summit_. If you plan to attend, please _register for the conference_. | The spec subscription system is used by the conference scheduling system to keep track of who would want to be in a particular meeting. However, it will only schedule people who are registered to attend the conference. So when a spec is approved for a conference, or when a person subscribes to a spec that is already approved for a conference, they should be notified and invited to attend the conf.
2006-06-22 09:57:09 | Mark Shuttleworth | title | The relationship between the conf scheduler and spec subscription should be more obvious | Subscribers should be encouraged to attend conferences

2006-07-01 17:19:34 | Mark Shuttleworth | blueprint: statusexplanation | Bjorn could you take this one on? I think it means subscribing to SprintSpecification creation events, checking which of the relevant people are already attending the sprint, and mailing the rest. I think it's reasonable to do this when the Spec is *proposed* for the Sprint agenda (which is when the SprintSpec link is created) as opposed to the moment when it is approved.
