you can simply keyin both
\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"............(a lot of)..\"\"
and
"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\............(a lot of).."\"\
in any translation page,
than save it and download the po.

When
$ msgfmt -v -o /dev/null that_output.po
, we always get the parse error message(s).
