no "apport-collect" link on bug pages

I'm not sure if devs want this feature but I thought I'd just throw it in: I recently read (on some blueprint?) that the use of apport should be encouraged. The problem with existing bugs is that there is no link on a page to do the terminal command "apport-collect <respective bug number>". I can only do it in a terminal afaik. Why not have a link on launchpad bug pages for that?

I think it can be added to "If I’m reporting a bug, I should include, if possible: (Optional)" at Ubuntu project page settings.

$ apport-collect <bug number> to help with more information about your system.

Sorry, but I can't find something like this in the settings. I know that I can type apport-collect <bug number> into the terminal, but my suggestion was to add a link right here on the launchpad bug page to make it easier for people who are not familiar with the terminal command.

Of course... there are "links" that make you install a package from the repos...

If we can click on apt:ubuntu-bug, why not something like apport:421078 ?

From what I can tell, apt: links are implemented on the browser side - see package apturl for details.

So, I think this is not a Launchpad issue really, but something that would need implemented in Ubuntu itself, perhaps in a new apporturl package (or a generalization of apturl maybe?) If that's the case maybe this bug should be moved back to Apport?

Presumably you want LP to render such a link, but yes having an apport or ubuntu task will be necessary.

Launchpad can handle this by just rewrite them in to a link to for
example http://apt.ubuntu.com/p/vim and all the rest is taken care of.
