Bug Description

1. What I did:
I reported an issue about openoffice.org here on bugs.launchpad.

Nearly at the bottom it said:
" Include an attachment (Optional)
Attachment:
(Optional)
 This attachment is a patch
Description:
(Optional) "
I pressed the "Browse..." button and selected a file.
The I pressed the "Submit bug report" button.
2. What happened:
The bug report was created, but the file was NOT attached.
3. This is what I expected: That the file would be attached. when creating the bug report.
4. Version: I am using launchpad as of today, March 31, 12:14am GMT; i believe there is no version number or whatever.

Bug is in Launchpad not Ubuntu. Moving it over to Launchpad bug tracker and marking Ubuntu bug invalid.

Looking at your bug report listing, I assume the bug report you ended up filing was bug 351798. I can see that the time the bug was filed and the time of the first comment is the same. The first comment contains an attachment Dependencies.txt. So attaching when reporting a bug works, but it seems you attached the wrong file. Do you agree?

Diogo, thanks for reply.

Yes, the bug number that I ended up filing was 351798.

No, I did not attach dependencies.txt, this file was probably automatically attached by the process when choosing Help->Report Problem in OpenOfficeorg

In any case, I consciously and explicitly selected another file with the Browse... button and that specific file was not attached when I pressed the 'submit bug report' button.

If I try to go back in mind to see if I could have made a mistake, I clearly remember the following: When I got the reply in bug 351798 that asked for the file, I did attach the file they asked for and I remembered very clearly that this was the file that I selected the first time, because there were multiple files I could choose from. When creating a bug, the box in front of the 'Browse...' button is empty, so it is unlikely that I would have pressed 'Cancel' in stead of "OK" after pressing the "Browse..." button.

So, I hope this info helps to rule out that possibility.
