Bug Description

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

File -> Properties -> Custome

In v2.4.1 four fields: Info 1, Info 2, Info 3, Info 4, which can be renamed with the 'Field Info...' button in the same tab.
I used Info 4 for the version number of my document, that was inserted at the bottom of each page. Info 4 was renamed to 'Version'.
Opening the same document in v3.0.1 gives first two other field: 'Course Name' and 'Course Number', values that I might have used in past versions of the document, but that were then discarded.
I cannot access Info 3 field (which I never used) or Info 4 (which was renamed 'Version').

I can see them in Insert -> Fields -> Other. I see there as custom fields: 'Course Name', 'Course Number', 'Info 1', 'Info 2', 'Info 3', 'Mailstop', 'Student Number', 'Teacher' and finally 'Version'. Those fields I did not use, but might have come from the time before when I used them (and then removed them), or from a conversion between ODT to DOC, back to ODT. It might be that the DOC was edited with Word in between.

SO: the migration problem causes to sub-issues: (1) the fields info 1 - info 4 are not shown in the correct order (i.e. Info 1 on top, rather than on position 3). (2) Except for the four fields in ' File -> Properties -> Custom', the fields are not accessible for editing, but are present in the document.

File showing the problem is included with name TemplateTyndalePapers_v1.2.linux.odt (not a template, but odt fie)

You mentioned you included file "TemplateTyndalePapers_v1.2.linux.odt" but it wasn't actually included.

Chris, thank you for asking! Is previous post, there it is!

I am very sure that I did select with the 'Browse...' button the document. I did exactly the same procedure now, and the document did upload. So I think I will open a bug about the bug-tracker :-)

Do you still have this problem with the new version of OOo in the ppa at https://launchpad.net/~openoffice-pkgs/+archive ? I can see field 'Version' with OOo 3.1 so this might be fixed now?
