Bug page timing out; suspect slow query on ValidPersonCache

As part of the page performance work last week, ValidPersonCache was prejoined when getting the subscriber list. For bugs with a large number of subscribers this reduced the number of queries by a vast amount (for the bug in question, from over 1000 to ~70 queries). But the prejoin seems to be slow now.

Bug #221075 addressed a similar problem. Revision 6170 is short and sweet and may offer us an alternate solution to a prejoin.

Couldn't submit bugs due to a timeout, and was told on #launchpad that it's the same bug as this one; I got oopses OOPS-1033ED526 and OOPS-1033EB501.

I've been told by Herb on IRC that this only affects edge, so disabling redirection via the "disable redirection for 2 hours" button on http://launchpad.net should help for anyone affected by this
