@Geoff - cool, I'm glad you're stepping up to tackle this. There are a few different things/places folk have talked about wanting wikis. In order to help make sure your project is successful, we should be clear about what it is you want to accomplish. Some examples might be:
 * A per-project wiki with history and multiple pages accessible under launchpad.net/project/wiki/*
 * let wiki syntax be used in fields like bug description, project summary etc
 * Make it really easy to put up a lot of welcome prose (like the README -> rendered markdown github does)

Theres a range of implementation choices available depending on exactly what it is you want to accomplish (and different challenges - more or less storage complexity, performance concerns etc). We use the https://dev.launchpad.net/LaunchpadEnhancementProposalProcess system to work bring clarity to this sort of thing. So the first thing is for you to visit https://dev.launchpad.net/LEP and create a LEP that describes clearly what you want to do - it doesn't (and shouldn't discuss implementation) : just a really clear description of your why-and-what.

Jono (as product manager) and I (as TA) will then help you make sure that what you work on will be acceptable to the Launchpad project, both in UI/functionality and implementation.

Just let me know (here or IRC, whatever is fine) when you have a draft LEP up, or if you need help putting it together.
