Bug Description
Launchpad only allows to choose between tracking bugs in launchpad itself or linking a remote bug tracker. I would like to do both.
We use launchpad to file and track bug reports and encourage users to do so as well. However every once in a while someone files a bug in the tracker of their respective linux distro for the package corresponding to our upstream project. It would be real nice feature to have launchpad watch these bug trackers and automatically add them to the general tracker. Or at least notify the bug contact and ask if the bug needs to be imported or not (if it is really about the package and not about the project maybe we do not want it - however in my experience about 90% of the bugs in these trackers need to be solved upstream anyway).
For example showing bugs from the debian system in launchpad would be real nice. Even if they just show up read-only at least we are aware that they exist. Now each developer has to subscribe to multiple trackers if he want to be pro-active in fixing bugs.

Jaap, Launchpad already follows bug reports in the bug trackers of other distributions. For example, bug 161893 is linked to the equivalent bug report on bugs.debian.org as well as on bugs.freedeskto p.org.
If you realized this, then I'm misunderstanding your request, in which case could you elaborate on what you want? And if you didn't realize this, what would you have expected to see or do to link to another bug tracker?
