Bug Description
Hi, Is there an ongoing issue with following project:
Project: https:/
PPA: https:/
The developer has pushed an updated source package (i.e. kernel 6.8.7) but there has been no corresponding builds on launchpad. They are saying its due to some launchpad PPA issue:
//Have you tried contacting their support (if they have any), about PPA issues? Unfortunately I don't have any real way to debug what's wrong with launchpad. I do get emails that they received the source packages, but after that no news is supposed to mean good news.//
Source: https:/
Can you please suggest what should be done to resolve aforesaid problem?
It appears to be that there are some general reliability issues that have been affecting this project over the last month.
This issue occurred at about 8am central on April 18th. Looking at my build scripts, the PPA FTP was down. This appears to be related to some scheduled maintenance: https:/ /twitter. com/launchpadst atus/status/ 178093785604464 6513. This maintenance appears to have gone on longer and people were reporting that even 20 hours later some services were down.
There was another issue on April 6th that I couldn't understand, packages were published for building and successfully accepted, but nothing happened and the versions didn't update: https:/ /techpatterns. com/forums/ about3071. html. Republishing technically fixed the issue, but then the PPA overall was unavailable so confirming whether things were working at all was difficult.
I understand that this is a free service and the compute for building my kernels is also free (an expensive task if you're using an ondemand cloud service), but Launchpad overall has been very unstable lately. Are we expected to see more of this going forward or were these just bad coincidences?
