Hi Juerg, can you provide more details about the snap for which you encountered this error? The error in the OOPS mentions "Snap package builds against private archives are only allowed if the snap package owner and the archive owner are equal".

Would it be asked too much for LP to return a sensible error message?

So in this case the PPA is owned by ~canonical-kernel-esm whereas the snap is owned by ~canonical-kernel-snaps and it looks like that is why you are running into an error. I do not know if the former is a member of the latter since I do not have the permissions to view the details of the former.

I think Launchpad should return a proper error message in this case instead of logging an OOPS.
