unable to close a bug that I filed

Bug Description

after creating bug 194, I found another bug after the fact that is similiar to the bug that I opened (bug 72). However, I'm unable to close the bug that I opened. :(

Is there a way for me to close a bug I created, but am not assigned to?

Upstream bugs are editable only by the upstream maintainer and the assignee (if there is one.)

FWIW, my patch for supporting duplicate bug reports (the first cut of which is very simple/minimal, but functional) is only awaiting passing through the code review process. When this lands, it will provide you a better semantic for doing what you want to do here.
