The biggest problem here seems to be that the context menu object (or possibly the navigation menu object) is being instantiated more than once, which means that the property cache of ProductBranchesMenu.active_review_count is ineffective. We should investigate caching the creation of the menus in lp.app.browser.tales.MenuAPI.
